Ron Koppelberger
One Light Unto Another
Kindness in nascent availing delight, the sturdy shoulder
And the butterscotch sweet summoned by the tears of little whelps
And tender tots, by the need for grandmas gentle kiss
And laced sneakers for holiday seams, the breath of an
Ancient memory, borne by the lines of bygone love,
Called up and whispered complete by the
Reflection of an aged countenance once touched
By the kindness of a moment in time
And the passage of one light
Unto another.
